The Night Coders is a small, self-hosted publication about infrastructure, code, and the systems that actually hold up in production. It is written from the night shift — the quiet hours when the pager is silent enough to think clearly about why things break and how to build them so they don't.

The writing here favours specifics over slogans. We would rather show the migration that bit us, the dependency that drifted too far from upstream, or the deploy that survived 3am than repeat received wisdom. If a post can't be backed by something we actually ran, it doesn't get published.

The site is deliberately simple: our own code, our own server, no third-party trackers, no advertising, and no reader accounts. Analytics are anonymous and cookieless by design — enough to know which posts were read, never enough to follow a person. You can read more in the privacy policy.
